Hello from Mooloolaba! had a day trip to mools last weekend with the family. This coastal town is one of my favourite places in Queensland and I just love visiting especially, during warmer seasons. Was a bit chilly so not really a swimming kind of day but the rock pools are always so fun to explore. Im always amazed by the tiny sea creatures living in them. OMG so excited for summer!! need to shed off that excess winter fat i have stored and get me some hot bikinis asap. Haven't found any good ones yet but if you know of any please suggest :)
love you all!

TROPICAL STORM.

asos pants / tony bianco shoes / sportsgirl and eBay rings / supre top (I cut this into a crop) / eBay choker avaialble HERE

The weather in Brisbane during the last few days has been really gloomy
with all the rain and overcast conditions. I figured what better way to brighten up the day than with these pants! Im a bit obsessed over florals at the moment and these pants are definatley a favourite in my wardrobe.
Hope you're all having a lovely week!

SECRET GARDEN.

Dress. Lucy in the Sky
Headpiece. DIY (tutorial coming up soon!)
Shoes. Jeffrey Campbell

This place would have to be one of my favourite little hideouts when I need to relax or de-stress. Just being surrounded by the trees, and sounds of nature is so calming and peaceful. Even though its only five minutes away from my house, not many people in the area know about it so its kind of like my secret garden. There's even a freshwater stream that runs across the bridge which is apparently home to a family of platypus!
Do any of you have a little hideout you like to escape to?

Hope you're all having a good week!

Exam time again...kill me.
Blogging is now a new favourite addition to my list of 'Things I like to do when I should  be studying for an exam'
Ok so I don't actually have a list like that, but lately I seem so easily distracted from uni work, that I  probably could create a long list of all the ways I like to procrastinate. Anyone in the same boat?
I came up with this outfit during one of my moments of procrastination and even though I usually prefer adding a bit of colour to my outfits, I actually don't mind the simplicity of a black and white ensemble. The necklace Im wearing is an Indian vintage ornament, usually worn around the waist of the traditional outfit called a Sari. It belonged to my grandma, so its a pretty special and priceless piece of jewellery to me.  Im so amazed with the detailing on it and turns out it was the perfect addition to my outfit!
Anyway, back to the books for me... yay.

Love,

Spent this afternoon catching up with the gorgeous blogger and good friend, Aya Marinov from sonzai-shinai. although the weather was pretty gloomy today in Brisbane we were lucky enough to take some snaps of our outfits before it rained.
Jeffrey Campbell never fails to surprise me with its endless collection of drool-worthy shoes. These in particular are definately sex on heels (minus the heel of-course...)!

NAILED IT.

I couldn't resist trying out some of the nail art ideas from my previous post. This look was super easy to achieve with only nail polish (clear or preferred colour) and 'Hundreds n Thousands'.
Apply a thick layer of nail polish on each finger and sprinkle the 'Hundreds n Thousands' over wet nail polish. You will end up with these delicious looking candied nails! Hope you like them :)

Hope you've all had a great week :)
Big Day Out this weekend yay! still need to find an outfit for it though...

POPPIN POPCORN.

( top:zara mckenna.  shorts: american apparel.  ring: local designer.)

You might be wondering why I'd title this post about popcorn when it has nothing to do with food.
Well. A few hours before this outfit shoot I was attempting to make popcorn over the stove..BIG MISTAKE. For those of you who can cook, this is probably the easiest thing you could make, but for the rest of us who have no skills in cooking what-so-ever (i.e. me), dont try this at home. Leave it for the cinemas.
I added way too many kernals and too little oil that pretty much all my kernals had turned into charcoal. Mum was not impressed either and kept lecturing me on how I needed to put more oil and that I could have burnt the house down etc.etc... was a bit of an eventful afternoon.
Hope you're all having a wonderful friday (yay for weekends!).

p.s. Zara McKenna is an amazing Australian designer that I recently stumbled upon. All her pieces are so unique, feminine and just simply gorgeous! You can check out her beautiful clothing line at: http://zaramckenna.com/

p.p.s I've just made a new facebook page for T.I.P! You can like me by clicking the link on the right hand side of this page :)

HARDEN UP HARDY.

(top:staple. shorts: forever 21. shoes: jeffrey campbell)

This past week has been so crazy with christmas and new years so I havent blogged as much as I would have liked to. In saying that though, it was probably the greatest week to end the year. My family is really big on camping, so for Christmas we decided to have a camping trip at the beautiful coastal town, Mooloolaba. The weather was an absolute dream and so perfect for a day at the beach and a few tanning sessions.
I then headed to Moreton Island for another camping trip with two of my closest friends, for New Years. We really wanted to do something low key and relaxing for NYE instead of going out and starting the new year hungover...so instead we said goodbye to 2011 with a beach bonfire, some malibu, star gazing and a whole lot of dancing and singing!
It was definately the perfect start to 2012 and I hope its been the same for all of you too.
